Jose Antonio Cruz Cardenas, Ph.D.

POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW

José grew up in Sinaloa, Mexico, and earned his bachelor’s in biotechnology from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. He later moved to Monterrey Institute of Technology to pursue his graduate studies, where he focused on developing human neutrophil models to study how receptor deficiencies affect immune function. Jose’s research interests center on immune cell engineering, stem cell biology, and the development of CAR-based cell therapies. Outside the lab, he enjoys playing soccer and mountain biking.
