Achal grew up in New York and completed his Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). At UIUC, he conducted research on polymeric and electrochemical engineering strategies to address complex biological challenges, from modeling brain tumor environments to energy solutions for implantable electronics. He now brings his passion for engineering solutions to biological problems to the Bose Lab. Outside of research, Achal enjoys reading and going on long walks.
